Alright all of my lovely high school/college/graduate/PhD students, this one's for you.
Thanksgiving is a tease. You have most of the week off, try to ignore your assignments as much as possible, and it's a little taste of winter break. Then, you get back to school and your educators are winding down their units and finals are hanging over your head. Between the regular assignments, final projects, and tests it feels like break is never actually coming. It's you vs. the end of the semester and I want you to win! Here are my tips and tricks for these last few weeks of school:

It's never too late to undergo changes. In fact, I feel like this happens to me on a weekly--or maybe even daily basis. My energy is always different, I hate being in a routine for too long, and I have so many interests to flip between and can't choose just one to focus on.
There's a lot of change that happens when you're in college, and it never stops. (11/5/19 Note: This title has been edited to reflect the proper credentials of the doctor I had visited. She is not a nutritionist but, rather, a registered dietician.)
The most anticipated event of the week for me, besides the midterm election, was getting to see a dietician. Although I've been involved in health and fitness for a while, that doesn't mean that I don't have a lot to learn. My appointment was an hour and a half, and my doctor took a long time to learn about my habits, goals, and history. By doing so, she was able to understand what I already knew and what I wanted to accomplish. When you go into any doctor's appointment, be as open and as truthful as possible. You'll be able to have a much better session if you give your doctor as much information as possible and are open to what they have to say. Can you believe that it's already November? We've gone though 11 out of 12 months of 2018. That being said, you don't have to wait until January of a new year to change your life. The start of a new month can also be a time to make a change (or even a random Wednesday).
