Hey there! It's been a while since I've posted something, but taking about 16 college credits really does something to any extra time you have.
I wanted to share something with you that I've been working on in my nutrition class!

This morning, I woke up groggy, immediately went for the coffee, and sat down at my computer to watch some YouTube videos (which I used to do almost every morning but haven't done much in the past couple of months). Normally, I'd go to someone like the Try Guys, SuperCarlinBrothers, or Sierra Schulzzie (big-name YouTubers) but this morning I was called to check up on Devin Lytle's channel. Lo and behold, she had posted a video entitled, "How returning to pole dancing restored my faith in the internet." Let me explain why this was so important this morning:
Who are you "normally" without a pandemic? Who did you want to be?
Try something with me: Try to picture yourself. From head to toe, your hair, eyes, neck, tummy, fingers, calves, toe nails. Really try to picture yourself. All of your pimples, moles, and scars. When you think you're done, go check yourself out in a mirror and move along to the next paragraph. Hello everyone!
In this post, I have compiled a list of 10 links directing you to petitions, donation sites, businesses, and additional resources where you can support this movement. THERE ARE PLENTY MORE RESOURCES OUT THERE so feel free to add your own links you've created or found in the comments section! When you do, please list the name of the business or title of the article, the author or owner, and provide a link :) It has officially been (over) two weeks since we arrived in Los Angeles! Normally, I’d be writing a blog post about how my family is already starting to drive me a little bonkers, but this two-week mark is important because we are finally out of quarantine!
A few hours ago, Adele celebrated her birthday with a post on Instagram--that has been completely taking over my fitness IG's feed. Although the transition looks gradual (based off of previous pictures posted on her account), those who don't follow Adele on social media may be dumbstruck by her most recent picture, showing the once thick icon completely transformed.
Moving from Chicago to L.A. was a big change. The biggest of all? The weather! We left 50 degrees and below for 75-85 and had to adjust our workout schedule accordingly. It's fairly easy to bundle up in the winter, but what do you do when you can't take off any more layers without it becoming illegal and still want to work out outside?
Last night, Dylan asked both me and those following his Facebook this question. What if this was it? You didn't "go back" to your "normal" life, this was your "normal"? While it's not likely that this will truly go on for more than a few months or even a couple of years, there's a lot we can get out of asking ourselves this question.
By now, I'm sure you've heard the news that Dylan and I are leaving Chicago. I've received plenty of well-wishes and it's been very kind of everyone. Even if it's not said, I think the adults in our lives are happy we're going to be closer to (at) home, and the 20-somethings are either happy we're closer to them or bummed that we're not staying in Chicago. While I appreciate the wishes of every kind, I've never been one to take sentiments of the sort easily.
Hey everyone! How are you doing? Keeping busy? I know I am (granted there are definitely some days that are more productive than others). I thought it would be fun to share with you some of the fun things I've been doing while in self-isolation!
